One of the design ideas involved is to have it serve as a center
for microbanking.

I couldn't agree more. One of the most valuble ideas of GreenStar
besides the Internet link, is the 1050 volume library of
appropriate technology on Cdrom.

I think you would greatly enjoy the book "Gaviotas: a village to
change the world."
