Well, euthanasia is de facto standard in clinical practice of hopeless
cases, and if the medpersons cooperate they can leave the patient on
the ventilator et al. after death has been pronounced.
Of cource, there are hospices, dying in a home setting etc. Where
there's a will, there's a way.
