That might work but not for very long. Air can diffuse through Mylar and helium
can diffuse out, that happens to blimps too but dealing with air contamination in
a gas bag is much easier than in a solid. I'm not sure but I suspect you'd have to
heat the aerogel in a vacuum oven every few weeks until it was incandescent to
drive the air out and then re-infuse the helium. Aerogel zeppelins would be heavier
than pure gas bags and so would have to be even bigger to get equal lift, putting a
monster like that into a vacuum oven 2 or 3 times a month doesn't seem practical.
By the way I'd use helium, I'd never use hydrogen in a oxygen atmosphere, it's
just too dangerous
