I definitely saw and appreciated the humor in it. I happen to like Monty Python stuff... but.

One of the rhetorical means used by socialists in deconstructing classical liberal ideas on liberty is to illustrate a supposed contradiction that can be found humerous by the general population. When the population finds this ditty humerous, the meme creeps up that the ideas being illustrated have been publicly ridiculed and found to be nonsensical or illogical, thus denigrating and deconstructing the concept of individuality.

Try this one on for size:

Crowd to single member:"We are all the same" single member:"We are all the same"
crowd:" we are all equal"
single member:"we are all equal"
crowd:"But you are not"

who is laughing now?
