Most of the free-thinkers on this group and in the Libertarian Party like to blast the mainstream public for being sheep, following the herd, and doing what they're told. It is a common theme to point out a common assumption that was really a meme invented and engineered for a covert purpose. It is an attempt to show that one's own political viewpoint avoids the common fallacies and focusses on the truth. This is a common technique, seen here and elsewhere, and I'm suprised that anyone questions that this is happening. I'm afraid that this list is no more immune to spinning and political posturing than any other.
