Recent article in New Scientist on Turkeys. Apparently the domesticated Turkey is pretty much incapable o surival in the wild. The brain is much smaller than wild Turkey and it's a lot fatter - the only reason theycan stand is because someone started breeding for strong legs as well as for size.. Apparently modern domestic turkey's are stupid enough to drown by looking up into rain for long enough. Can't see there being much use to them at all in the wild. People tend to forget that most modern food animals are hugely different to how they were before man began breeding them.
