Research with implications about efficacy of cryonics

Human neuronal transplantation (non feotal neurons) is a useful
treatment for stroke. More interestingly, freezing & thawing the
neurons before transfer doesn't seem to impact efficacy. Admittedly
this is likely a small tissue sample and retaining efficacy in treatment
of stroke doesn't necessarily indicate a possibility of reconstitution,
but still...

Anyone know if this actually indicates that the implanted neurons are
functional and retain something of their previous state?
