I seldom write to the extropians list, and I'm kinda in a sour mood over
what I perceive as creeping PC-ism within extropian ranks. Be warned.

Ok, sorry, I don't get this at all. The original quote about not living
forever just sounded stupid, this variation sounds vindictive. I propose
the Andrea Dworkin filter:

Question: If you could be a beauty queen, would you and why?

Answer: I, Andrea Dworkin, would not be a beauty queen, because I
should not become a beauty queen, because if I was supposed to be a
beauty queen, then I would be beautiful, but I cannot be beautiful,
which is why I would not become a beauty queen.

To me, this variation sounds true.

Further:

It seems to me quite intuitively obvious why there are more male
geniuses than female. Lacking the time and motivation to defend this
assertion, I nonetheless welcome comments.

I'd think I'd pay $100/yr for this list to return to the previous
closed format. After all, it helped convert me from vague liberalism
to hard-edged anarcho-capitalism.

Thanks,
-Mike
