Occasionally, it seems that various list members who are primarily of
urban origin will make comments about rural residents that displays at
best a sad ignorance of one's fellow citizens (especially when the
individual tends to consider themselves a worldly intellectual). I just
read a rather excellent column by Blake Hurst ("Seeing Red") on the Wall
Street Journal's "Opinion Journal" website:

and I suggest that those with a tendency toward urban parochialism read
