Unfortunately, merely shucking your clothes does not always remove the
potential for static electricity. I've got enough fur on my arms that a
brief but vigorous rubbing can produce minor, but perceptible, static
electricity. And when affectionate kitty cat, with a healthy and thick
coat of fur, rubs up demanding attention, well...
