Extropians might want to check out "Thick Face, Black Heart," re Chinese business practices. The reality of Chinese business ethic is that it becomes whatever best serves the immediate interests of the Chinese business, in most cases, at least. Chinese are used to saying and projecting the emotions - the "face" -whatever will achieve the desired result. There is no real concept of truth in Chinese philosophy, only "face." Truth is what you have to pretend to believe to be accepted.
