Oh, I don't know. Perhaps its pure jealousy, perhaps they just don't get
it. Note that Trotsky said about the US when he escapted to here, that
the US "needs no revolution". I think it was Stalin's grandson who said
about the US, that "Here you struggle to make everyone equally rich, in
my country we struggle to make everyone equally poor." I think that
illustrates the dichotomy pretty well, and explains why 'open
mindedness' is really wasted on them, where our motto is sort of 'back
to the future', theirs is 'forward to the past'.
