I don't want to run your life, unless you are a minor, or a violent criminal, or insane, and even then, I just want to keep the possession of the quick and easy means of long-range instantaneous mass murder out of it. As I have said before, I have nothing against sane and law-abiding adults possessing firearms. I myself own five of them. But none of them will protect me against a backshooting kid, crazy or criminal, which is why I want the guns kept out of their hands. Laws can be tailored to do so MUCH more effectively, without interfering with the right of sane and law-abiding adults to keep and bear, but when such attempts are made, the NRA has opposed them at every turn, Their actions belie their words.
