Why not throw in Unreal Tourney? That game had massively augmented
individuals, some apparently lab grown and patent licensed. My bet would be
on the Unreal soldiers, because the Borg must decide collectively which
uniqueness must ne absorbed. The Extropians could augment almost perpetually,
to out-class the Borg; perhaps developing anti borg Nan-Nyte tech to counter
Borg tech. Hand me the Shock Rifle!
