Dunno about the first two (nobody close to me has ever been so
afflicted) but: starting last summer I made an effort to eat more
protein and less starch, and I find it easier than previous attempts to
simply cut down on sweets. (I used to snack on crackers and such, now I
snack on jerky.) I find myself getting hungry less often, and I've lost
twenty-odd pounds.
