And now for our next trick. The "just kidding" was intended as
a segue into what I think is the real nexus between human and
simian "zaniness" -- namely "monkeying around".
Linking arms with my playful bipedal brothers, I affirm without
qualification that we are both "Homo ludens". The question is,
what is the relationship of laughter to expressions of delight?
How is "teasing" behavior related to "derisive" (as in "Homo
risibilis) behavior?
