Hi, the FAQ seems informative. However, I will not read anything over one or two paragraphs in white-on-black, or any very light text on a dark background. It is very hard on the eyes. See David Brin's blog:

That's about as dark a background as I find comfortable, and I don't think most readers are much different in this. Also, by reading the post on the comments page, his site offers the chance to read in ordinary black text, or actually it looks like dark gray on white. Example:
