Again, relavency? Friendlines is not about gaining a 'highest' or 'optimal'
result for an individual. Friendlines is about gaining a 'highest' or 'optimal'
freedom & opportunities for everyone. That, of course, includes individuals and
individualists - those that want to make up thier own minds what direction they
are going to go, and how far they wish to travel. One direction is toward
oblivion. If you wish to arrange that this direction is 'off-limits' then you
would have to be an awefully strong argument as to why this direction, when
taken by an individual, would violate the volition of others. If a human being
is to have control over anything at all, then their foundation level of control
will be over their own existance. If you turn the argument on its head for a
moment, and consider the question: will a human being have the freedom to
*live*, you will see that the freedom to *die* must also be given... else there
is no choice at all.
