A big break for Cycorp was the Darpa High Performance Knowledge Base
(HPKB) project in which Cycorp was a subcontractor to Teknowledge whom you
mention below. We leveraged our success with HPKB into a prime contract
for Rapid Knowledge Formation (RKF), in which Teknowledge is now a sub to
us. Grant proposal writing is well worth your time in my opinion.

Even if we are not teammates on some prime contract, Darpa projects
typically fund 10-20 participants so I would warmly welcome the
opportunity to collaborate in a sponsored project in which we are members
of different teams. In these efforts, each participant contributes their
particular strengths, integrating usually for periodic demonstrations.
