B5 was full of "nods" to various SF sources: the Great Machine from
FORBIDDEN PLANET, the main Psi Corps character being named "Alfred Bester",
et cetera and so on. I just read Asimov's FOUNDATION'S EDGE, and the climax
of that book was REALLY similar to the climax of the Shadow War.
