CRYO: In light of HD neurons?

What does cryonic freezing damage do to those little chemical patches on
the surfaces of individual neurons? (See the post on infrared lasers
being used to investigate information storage in neurons.) Synaptic
connections are one thing - are we still talking about perfect reconstruction?
