I'm not Max or Greg, but I think I know what causes
the confusion. The Extropian principals and the
Libertarian ones are not dis-similar, and in many ways
are complementary. Because of this many Extropians
are also Libertarians and they speak up on this list
to promote their Libertarian principals. The
Non-libertarian Extropians [I do hope I'm spelling
everything correctly, because I'm a horrible speller]
do sometimes speak out against the Libertarians. [See
the debate between Terry and Robert.]
So while this is NOT a Libertarian forum it can be
seen as such because of a high porportion of vocal
Libertarians.
