After your week of rest, you should probably switch to the
dvorak layout. I find that I can type for 10 hours straight
on dvorak while qwerty gives me aches after just 1 1/2 hour.
It's probably got to do with the fact that qwerty requires
you to continuously turn and twist your hands while dvorak
lets your hands rest on the home row with only occasional
'excursions' to the more remote regions of the keyboard.
