Well, in this discussion we are discussing building huge, extremely
powerful computing systems rather than our current biological brains.

Sure, the brain is "connected to the cosmos"/interact with exterior
forces, but so is everything else too - rocks, television sets and
lava lamps. The question, is there anything particular and interesting
between the brain-cosmos interaction (beside the obvious)?
