Yes. I'm not saying the idea for such a filter as a filter is new. What is
different about it is that it would be built to specification on the
nano-level -- not by relying on membranes made of grosser level materials.
A passive nanofilter would be much smaller and would, hopefully, have fewer
imperfections.
Plus, it would be a wonderful proof of concept that sounds like it would be
doable with current technology -- at least, in the prototype stage. With
such devices, it mgiht be easier to sell the idea of nanotech to the rest of
the engineering and investment communities.
