I like Raymonds estimates, even if my own estimates are around two
orders of magnitude higher when it comes to brain size (and hence
volume of the finished upload grain of salt). I also disagree with the
I/O part (the brain has no well-defined I/O systems, since there are
feedback from higher levels everywhere and even the primary cortices
seem to be involved in processing and memory), but overall I think
this kind of well-thought posting is what we should try to write more
of on this list.
