Ah, we are caught in that significatn difference between the US and Britain that
others never seem to notice: that first names that are traditionally female in
the US will often be male in the UK... Alys, Emlyn, Evlyn, etc. especially
seeing how much the yuppie set in the US likes to create intriguing spellings
for their kids names, supposedly some study proved that such names result in
greater success in life.....for obvious reasons...
