This technology cannot come soon enough for me. however things like cochlear implants for the deaf are already avaliable . Soon we will have chips that enable the blind to see. However the situation can sometimes be ironical. As one who is hearing impaired I once applied for a cochlear implant only to be told that I do not qualify because I am not deaf enough!!!!! There is also a long waiting list.
