Any projects or information resource depositories that have been hamstrung
by bandwidth charges or space limitations may want to check out
http://www.xoom.com. Apparently, the cost of information storage has
reached the point that it will not counter the value of internet portal name
recognition. If you can handle the Xoom pop-up ad then you can start
uploading all that Hipparchos data that you've been dying to share with
everyone.
