Ah, no, this isn't true. There are several quantities that seem to be
universally conserved in physics (mass/energy, for example, or momentum),
but information isn't one of them. Some physical interactions conserve
information, but others do not. Under Earthlike conditions, information is
created and destroyed all the time.

If you don't believe me, check your local resources on physics and
information theory.
