Most people are sheep--vide Milgram--with one difference: I doubt that
sheep rationalize. While I'm no anthropologist, I'd wager that
worldwide, "default" childrearing produces a large fraction of adults with
compliance to the acceptable ersatz father figure, whoever it might be:
headman or top kick.
