I'd second this. The sentient aliens might (would?) have an evolutionary
history wildly different than ours, but I'd expect them to be familiar with
concepts such as mathematics, economics, game theory and logic. Their
*data* (e.g., logical assumptions) may also differ from ours, but I think
we'd have the frameworks in common.
