The following is only intended to show that dead people do have self-interest.
How about reputation? Some people really care about their legacy. It's not
ok to slander people when they're alive and it's still not ok after they
die. The only difference is that the person is no longer capable of
sticking up for themselves (dead people tend to be rather docile).
