James Halperin is the author of two books, "The First Immortal" and "The
Truth Machine". "The Truth Machine' describes the development and evolution
of a device which detects conscious deception reliably and rapidly. The
consequences of a Truth Machine are profound and mostly beneficial.
Given the variety of human parameters subject to measurement, such as
breath, GSR, eeg, ekg, blood pressure (the ones used for contemporary lie
detectors), PET scans, voice stress, etc, it seems feasible to begin the
development of a Truth Machine now.
This email list is a beginning, to create a basis of communications among
all interested in this. This is intended to be a long term project, with a
focus on the practical information needed, routing daily professional
communications, discovery of resources and eventually the creation of other
structures (such as an Institue) to foster the Truth Machine.
