GENDER: cytomic separation of X/Y successful

The September issue of the journal _Human Reproduction_ contains an
article in which the Genetics and IVF Institute describes the world's
first delivery of normal babies after use of a prenatal sex selection
method known as flow cytometric human sperm separation ('MicroSort').
In other words, we have entered the era wherein parents undergoing
fertilization methods may select whether their child will be male or female.

The citation: 'Births of normal daughters after MicroSort sperm
separation and intrauterine insemination, in vitro fertilization, or
intracytoplasmic sperm injection' by E.F. Fugger, et al. _Human
Reproduction_ September, 1998.
