Philips Medical systems is developing something like this. Medical trails
are a lengthy procedure however so it could be some time before these
things hit the market (5 years minimum). And then initially at a very high
price that are typical for all high-tech medical applications
(hip-implants, artificial heartvalves). Hopefully there will be others
developing similar devices to bring the prices down to 'consumer level'.
