Heh. Reading Brust's Dumas imitations for the first time had a quite notable
effect on my writing for a while.

Reading Sarah's post required a bit of a gearshift, but was fun, and the
meaning was ultimately fairly clear and precise, not obscure. Enjoyable
complexity and precision: Very extropic, to submit to using the local
buzzwords.
