Misguided MSNBC Article on Immortality

MSNBC's site has a suite of articles regarding aging.
While some of the articles are informative for the
average reader, the article on the implications of
immortality is deplorable. The writer refers to such
potentialities of immortality as "centuries-long anxiety
attacks" and "decades of toilet training." In a more
discretionary tone, the author shows how the conquering
of the aging process would not ensure immortality. However,
the author does not make the "transhumanism" jump to
speculating about other technologies that would allow
humanity to escape many of the traditional perils that
governed the actuarial conclusions mentioned in the article.
