Only if there was a mark on the wall of some sort, we'd need to distinguish
one particular part of the wall from other parts to know where to point.
If it did have such a mark then the room would no longer have cylindrical
symmetry so the two would receive different information from their eyes and
they would indeed diverge into two conscious beings just as I originally said.
