I'm no expert in this field, but I suspect the language used here might be
profoundly misleading. Does overcrowding produce dedicatedly homosexual
rats, or just a marked increase in observed buggery? If the latter, this
seems to me possibly due to enhanced territorial disputes, etc. Or do
crowded male rats stop mounting female rats in heat? Do they *prefer*
males? Is it only some (`gay') rats who prefer buggery all the time, or
all rats some of the time? Anyone here know?
