NEXIALIST NEWS CLIPS: Cure for School Violence

                      from L. Reichard White

                      The truth is out there.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore.(AP)--A second student wounded in the
[Thurston High] school shooting rampage died Friday as police
found at least five bombs at Kip Kinkel's home ...
Kinkel, who had been suspended the day before for having a
gun in his locker, fired off 51 rounds -- nearly all from a rifle
-- before a wrestler, himself critically wounded, tackled him,
police said. -"Second student dies; Police find bombs in Kinkel
home." -[Greensburg, PA] Tribune-Review, SATURDAY, MAY 23, 1998,
    pg. 1

Pennsylvanians are finally getting a peek at one of the
state's best-kept secrets -- violence in public schools.
        The picture isn't pretty.
Statewide, public schools reported 31,597 incidents of
violence during the 1995-96 school year, according to the state
    Department of Education. ...
The first report on violence revealed that there were 20,003
assaults on students statewide, including 11,617 fights; 1,119
assaults on school employees; 274 firearms possessions; *2,560
KNIFE POSSESSIONS; AND 7,738 OTHER WEAPONS POSSESSIONS.* -First
    report issued on violence in public schools across state;
Official calls results 'alarming, troubling', By Paul Peirce,
    TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 25 August, 1997, p. 1

Of course, many people can't do math. That's why we have public,
or government, schools: to keep people enslaved by keeping them
technologically illiterate. Parents, if you want to help your
kids and save civilization, then pull them out of public school,
buy them a computer, and teach them how to hack. -Jambalaya
