Oh, there is more to it than that, if you take the Bible literally.
The description in Revelations (if I remember correctly) of how well
illuminated Heaven is, can be fed into some fairly standard
calculations. And the conclusion that is compelled is that Hell
absolutely must be *much* cooler -- because sulfur is a liquid, not a
vapor.

Unfortunately, I don't remember where I came across this little
trivia point.
