If by 'Strong AI' you mean human-level cognitive ability, then:
- Yes, I believe in it, but I think its harder to achieve than is currently
believed, even if we get accurate brain models via Nanotech. (Mother nature
does worse spagetti code than microsoft, and in hardware to boot...)
If by 'Strong AI' you mean supra-human level cognitive ability then:
- Yes, I still believe this is possible, but it is MUCH harder to achieve,
since it requires not just duplication of human ability, but a thorough
understanding of it, and improvement thereon.
