People die, everything dies, usually in agony. All life is built on pain,
life only exists because of Darwinian evolution, that is, random mutation and
natural selection, and a more horrible mechanism for achieving progress can
not be imagined. A God worthy of the name could have figured out a way that
was less brutal, like making all creatures by magic fully developed in a
single flash, or at least evolution by the inheritance of acquired
characteristics. The fact that He did not do this can only be because He
did not want to.

If you could prove to me that God exists I would love him for only one reason,
He can read my mind and will torture me for eternity if I do not. It would be
a difficult struggle and I doubt if I could pull it off because there is
absolutely nothing lovable about Him.
