Two ideas:

Promote something like de Bono's CoRT (make thinking something people
_do_, rather than just something that happens, and take the fear and
frustration about it down a notch).

Promote the notion that thinking (in the broadest sense, as promoted by de
Bono) is more fun than winning arguments via cheap thinking.
