American Scientist on Longevity

Though I've not read it yet, the latest issue of _American Scientist_ 86(1)
Jan/Feb '98 has an article on longevity in humans: "Confronting the
Boundaries of Human Longevity" by S. Jay Olshansky et al.

I intend to read it today. Skimming through it, it seems more a descriptive
summary of changes in aging via modern medicine than one of evaluating
life extension techniques.

My hope is that many of you on the list will read the article and write letters
to the authors and to _American Scientist_. It is a way of getting nearly
free Press. Please please please do not throw this opportunity away.
