I'm currently reading the Ultimate Resource 2nd edition by Julian
Simon. This is one of the books on Max's top ten to read list. One of
the main themes of this book is that the benefits of a larger population
generating more new ideas and different perspectives, generally out
weigh the associated increase in congestion. It seems to me that this
principle would apply equally well to this list.
