My turn to play ignorant newbie with wacky idea:
If we think the universe was somehow imbalanced in matter/antimatter,
could there be a charge imbalance? I.e. the universe has a net charge.
In which case wouldn't there be a repulsive force? Physicists look for
a cosmological constant, but there seems to be one at hand...
