ForBio Research uses molecular markets for efficient production
of genetic maps and detection of close correlations between
genetic markers and Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL).
Okay, so it's not very funny. My guess is that the typo
"molecular markets" is the product of some web slave who's
spent more time doing pages for ordinary businesses than
for biotechnology firms. But what is a little more ironic
is that it doesn't take much imagination - at least if one's
heard of agoric computing (http://www.extropy.com/faq/agoric.html)
- to imagine, say, ecologies of nanomachine traders optimizing
some molecular-biotech procedure. If ForBio was using *that*
("agoric biotechnology?"), I'd *really* be impressed. :)
