The best and sanest way to learn the true story of, ahem, cerealogy in more
detail than you could ever wish to commit to memory is by reading Jim
Schnabel's superb and funny book ROUND IN CIRCLES: PHYSICISTS,
POLTERGEISTS, PRANKSTERS AND THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE CROPWATCHERS. It's
a UK Penguin, maybe in the States as well.

Then read his even funnier and equally detailed DARK WHITE: ALIENS,
ABDUCTIONS, AND THE UFO OBSESSION.

I haven't yet found his recent pb on `remote viewing' (of which he is
somewhat less skeptical, I gather, having had some success in paranormal
trials after learning the ropes from Ingo Swann, formerly of the now
disbanded govt. psi program).
